The Flatar are one of the the 37 mercenary races in the Galactic Union.
They are one foot tall chipmunk-like creatures. They are often found as allies with the Tortantulas, riding that species and covering its flanks, often with hypervelocity pistols. The current hypervelocity pistol of choice is the XT-12.
